What this course is
Today's teens have grown up online, but few understand how the tools shaping their lives actually work. This course pulls back the curtain on AI, algorithms, and the digital systems that influence what they see, think, and buy. Students learn to use modern technology as a power tool — for learning, creating, and producing — instead of being used by it.
Weekly 90-minute sessions, small-group format, hands-on labs.
Why it matters
AI is rewriting the rules of work, school, and creativity. Teens who learn to use these tools intentionally — and who understand how they work — will have a decisive edge for the rest of their lives.
What your teen learns
- How AI tools (ChatGPT, image generators, agents) actually work — and how to use them well
- How algorithms decide what shows up in your feed, and how to take back control
- How to evaluate sources, detect misinformation, and spot AI-generated content
- How to build smart digital habits that protect mental health and focus
- How to use technology as a productivity engine instead of a distraction
Where they will use it
- Writing better essays and research with AI as a collaborator, not a crutch
- Building a healthy online presence for school, college applications, and future jobs
